Bonded Rubber Mulch
Rubber mulch is produced from recycled SPK tyres which are shredded into bark-like shapes and dyed to give it a natural appearance. The surface is strong and durable ensuring a non-slip, porous, impact absorbing surface. It is available in a variety of colours and shades.
Bonder Rubber mulch is mainly used as a school playground surface/ playground flooring, due to its impact absorbency, but it can also be used for pathways, daily mile tracks and a range of bespoke applications.
The product has superior impact absorbing properties compared to bark and does not get muddy or rot. Rubber mulch and Tiger Mulch can be laid under most playground and school equipment and around trees as it drains freely and does not wash away. Weed growth is prevented as the rubber mulch is laid on top of a geotextile.
Rubber mulch can cost less than other playground surfaces as it can be laid directly onto soil, requiring much less base works. It is installed using an in-situ method which is mixed close to the installation site. The rubber mixture is screeded to the final required depth and smoothed taking 24 hours to dry.
