Tennis Court Cleaning Maintenance Refurbishment for all types of tennis court surface including artificial grass, macadam, artificial clay, and acrylic.
It is therefore recommended that a hard surface moss killer is applied to the court surface regularly and that it is brushed and blown to remove surface debris. Periodically the surface should be washed using high pressured water to remove ingrained dirt and moss build up.
SSP Synthetic Sports Surface Maintenance Services are able to carry out high pressured water cleaning of Acrylic Tennis Courts using their dedicated water pressured machinery.
Astro Turf Tennis Court Cleaning
Tennis Court Cleaning Maintenance Refurbishment – Astro Turf Tennis Court Cleaning consists of a regular Deep Cleaning Process which decompacts the infill, lifts and opens up the carpet pile, extracts a degree of contamination build up from the infill, and re-distributes the infill over the entire system. This will help to prevent the infill particles from compacting together, the space between the infill particles becoming filled with particles of contamination, the carpet pile folding over, and the levels of infill to be correct.
Infill contamination and compaction, and pile fold will reduce the ability for water to pass through the synthetic grass system and create a hard non porous layer in the upper levels of fill which will lead to a slower draining surface reducing playing times and encouraging moss and algal growth. It will also create a surface that is harder under foot with less player comfort, less traction for players, and a faster less predictable ball performance.
The Deep Cleaning Process is designed to back up regular maintenance regimes such as Drag Brushing and Power Grooming and is most effective during periods of dry weather. It can be carried out on all types of synthetic grass surface including sand filled, sand dressed, and rubber filled systems. For moss to be removed effectively it should be dead and therefore it is always prudent for a moss killer to be applied to the affected areas well in advance to ensure the chemicals have time to kill off the spores.
