Deep Cleaning Process
The deep cleaning process for synthetic grass sand filled and rubber filled (3G) pitches consists of decompacting the infill to a specified depth, dependent on the type of surface, lifting the infill and extracting a degree of contamination from it using a Max2 vacuum unit.
During the process the carpet fibres are lifted and separated and the infill is evenly redistributed over the system and brushed in. It is a slow process which allows the Max2 vacuum unit the most opportunity to extract contaminants from the existing infill as well as decompacting the fill and lifting the carpet piles. The process is most effective in dry weather. The vacuum unit is designed to extract fine contamination from the fill and is restricted so that it won’t remove the fill. The deep cleaning Max2 unit will make six passes over the entire enclosure in alternating directions.
