Artificial grass is a natural choice for school playground flooring and surfacing, providing a soft safe surface for free play. Initially the only available artificial grass was a 24mm single colour and straight turf polypropylene grass designed for sports. The development of mixed colours and fibre shapes led to an expansion of available artificial grasses suitable for school playgrounds.

Why use artificial grass for school playgrounds?

It does not need to be mown regularly and there are some situations where grass simply won’t grow (under trees and shrubs).
