SSP opens Umbrella Sun Shade
SSP can now offer a Kindergarten Giant umbrella sun shade for all playgounds . Sun shades extend the time children can spend outside playing and offers protection from the elements for small people.
The sun shade is a available in 5m diameter circle or a 4m by 3m rectangle and can include upto 4 standard colours.
Easy to fold away for storage in the winter and a temporary structure so does not require planning permission.
It ease of use means area can be shaded when needed but leaves the are open at other time for more space.

Wet Pour Rubber and Artificial Turf Play Area Completed For Kent School
Outdoor play has been transformed for St Nicholas at Wade Primary School with the completion of a new wet pour rubber and artificial turf children's play area. The existing area consisted of old rubber tiles and natural grass which did not make the most of the valuable space and limited the children's play activity.
SSP Ltd in consultation with the staff and children of St Nicholas at Wade School designed a dual textured surface that would help with their play time and school activities. The poor draining natural grass was replaced by SSP's ProPlay Artificial Turf safety surface which looks and performs similar to natural grass but is free draining, safe, durable, and above all useable year round. The old rubber tiled area was replaced and extended to incorporate SSP's Wet Pour Rubber Surface with colouful designs and educational aids. The school now have an outdoor play area and classroom that will help with their education and be fun.
SSP continue with their successful children's play and safety surfacing which includes their MEGA (Multi Education Games Area) range of surfacing and their Astro Mat portable sports pitch and play surfacing.

The success of SSP ‘s new products Astro Mat had lead to the expansion of the product line into coloured grass . We can offer astromats in a variety of colours even white and black with the main range being Green, Blue and Red. They can incorprate a graphic or lines for a sports or games area. Easy to install simply lay out the pad interlock with jigsaw edges. No muscle required.
SSP Sports Astro Mat Semi-Permanent sports surfaces are available to provide sports training and skills areas, competitive sports areas and managed run around and play areas. Made from 0.9 x 2.25m interlocking sheets of dense piled artificial grass with an integral free draining shock pad. The semi permanent sports court is a heavy duty and robust alternative to a permanent surface. A mobile sports court that can serve the needs of an urban teenager or younger child to provide a dedicated sports surface or multi use games area. Astro Mat sports surface can be used for football, karate, short tennis, basketball, hockey, fencing, gymnastics , judo or unstructured play and can be used inside and out. Wet Pour Rubber Safety Surface Makes A Splash At Bristol Zoo
The new wet pour rubber outdoor play area at Bristol Zoo's visitor attraction Explorer's Creek has recently been unveiled to the public. The children's safety surface installed by SSP Ltd has been hailed a great success by the zoo's estates team who worked closely with SSP Ltd on the design element. 'Our experience in designing, supplying, and installing play surfaces, both wet pour rubber and artificial grass, in schools, nursery schools and similar visitor attractions to that of Bristol Zoo proved vital with this project' said SSP's Project Manager, Andrew Lofting 'It was important to get the right blend of coloured rubber crumb to give the play area the visual impact the client required. For this attraction we specified our wet pour rubber safety surface as opposed to our artificial grass range of outdoor play areas. The results are simply stunning'. The 'SPLASH' area of the attraction is described by the zoo as a water-play zone with streams, dams and the chance for youngsters to get their toes wet.
