Moss and Algal Treatment

Astro Turf Sports Surfaces such as Artificial Grass Tennis Courts, Synthetic Grass MUGA's, All Weather Sports Pitches, and other Synthetic Turf Surfaces will attact Moss and Algal Spores and allowing them to establish themselves can be detrimental to the Artificial Turf system. Changes in our climate have seen an increase in the effect of moss and algae producing a condition commonly known as Algal Squidge.

Moss and algal spores are most likely to establish themselves in areas of poor sunlight, poor drainage and poor airflow.

Regular chemical treatments are essential to help prevent the establishment of moss and algal spores. SSP is able to supply and apply such treatments to help minimise the risk.
