Regular Cleaning

Maintenance and Cleaning of Sports Surfaces Cleaning 3G Pitch

To keep a surface in good condition it should be cleaned regularly. From one year after its installation the surface should have any infill decompacted and any contaminants removed from it. This will help prevent any future drainage problems, player discomfort or any algal or moss problems. The regularity of cleaning would depend on the amount of use of the area, its location and the type of sports played.

The cleaning process: The surface is swept and cleaned of surface debris. The infill material is decompacted to a depth of 5-7mm using a MAX 1 decompaction machine. The infill material is lifted to a depth of 5-7mm and cleaned with contaminants extracted using a MAX 2 cleaning machine. Carpet fibres are opened up and lifted. The cleaned infill is evenly distributed back into the system to the appropriate levels.
